Vehicle Check App

Toyota

Challenge

Verifying vehicle specifications was a slow, manual process that required staff to check more than 300 specification items per vehicle using pen and paper. The process took several hours, was prone to human error, and created risks for product quality, customer satisfaction and sales accuracy.

Fabric partnered with the client to redesign the vehicle verification process through user research, discovery workshops and rapid prototyping. By observing employees in the field and auditing existing production systems, the team designed a responsive digital application that streamlined inspections while integrating seamlessly with the client’s existing technology ecosystem.

The new solution replaced paper-based checklists with an intuitive mobile and desktop application, enabling real-time specification checks, automated data synchronisation and intelligent features such as search, task prioritisation and status tracking to improve efficiency and accuracy.
